Description: This 100% silk habotai hand painted scarf is a one of a kind piece of wearable art and is called Diva.

This square pink, grey, purple and magenta ladies scarf was created using a Japanese technique called  Shibori. I rolled the scarf, then knotted it along the length, I then applied a selected few dyes along its length. Once almost dried, it is unravelled and the big reveal happens. I love this part! One never knows exactly how the dyes will have blended and moved till this part. This creates a totally unique piece of wearable art.

I have showcased several ways of wearing the scarf in my images which may help you get the most out of your purchase.

This long silk scarf measures 90 x 90 cms, approx. 35 x 35 inches and has a hand rolled hem.

I use French professional dyes for my scarves; they are steamed to fix the permanency of the colours and then washed to remove any excess.

    The scarves are hand washable:

    Care Instructions:

    • Hand wash in cold water with a little mild soap, do not soak the scarf.
    • Wring gently wrapped up in a soft towel.
    • Hang out to dry, away from direct sunlight.
    • Iron on a low heat setting while the scarf is still damp, under a cotton cloth.

Each scarf is packaged in tissue paper with a printed swing tag which also includes care instructions.

If your purchase is to be a gift for someone else; your mother, sister, friend or perhaps your bridesmaid, I can include a personalised message with the silk scarf. Please include a message to me when checking out.

All my silk scarves are hand painted with love using various techniques; some are Japanese in origin like the shibori and arashi shibori, on some, I use salt to manipulate the dyes into unique designs and some are techniques I have developed over the years. They are always evolving, therefore I recommend checking back regularly to see new products. I try to limit my palette to 3 or 4 colours for each scarf, this allows them to be stand-alone statement pieces and they complement many types of outfits and can dress up or down any ensemble. These are timeless pieces that should grace every wardrobe. Please note; no two scarves will be alike as they are painted freehand and the dyes never move or blend in the same way. This of course means your scarf will be unique, no need to worry about turning up to an event with the same item as someone else! You will feel amazing, special and look gorgeous wearing one of my scarves.
